Apple and the chipmaker Nvidia are reportedly in discussions to invest in an unnamed AI start-up, which is estimated to be valued at $100 billion. Thrive Capital is said to be leading the deal and could contribute approximately $1 billion to the start-up. If successful, this would mark a $20 billion increase in valuation compared to eight months ago. Other investors have previously put billions of dollars into the start-up, which remained independent in contrast to several others that were absorbed by tech giants. Both Nvidia and Apple declined to comment on the matter.
